Sober Living Environment

Sober Living from Bridges Inc.

Often the final phase of the treatment process includes the need for safe and supportive housing. The transition back into daily living can be challenging while implementing the newly learned tools to resist the urge to return to old habits. Bridges Men’s Sober Living Environment (known as Bridges 2) offers a comfortable and supportive place for men who are on the path to recovery. At a fraction of the cost of other programs, Bridges sober living house has been providing the highest level of excellence to each and every resident for over a decade. Men at Bridges 2 feel at home, in an encouraging environment of warmth, caring, and honesty.

While the home is not a treatment facility itself, all the residents are on a similar path to discover the freedom of their new, sober life. Men living at the sober living house often attend meetings, go to outpatient treatment, have returned to the workforce and find supportive mentors who will guide them through the temptations and pitfalls in life. As a part of the Bridges network, residents have access to resources and tools that would be difficult to find elsewhere. The sober living house provides meeting schedules, and most importantly, a group encouraging friends who understand the struggles and victories that go with getting clean.

Bridges Women and Children

Women at all stages of the treatment process often face a desperate need for safe housing for themselves and their children. Our mission is to provide mothers with children a safe home and nurturing environment where they can continue their sobriety and obtain compassionate support and services needed to achieve self-sufficiency and independence.

Our program offers support in a beautiful, child friendly environment coupled with the structure for continued assistance for an appropriate transition from treatment to independent living. Clients are required to attend various life skills groups and house meetings on a weekly basis as well as attend outside recovery support groups. Our life skills classes offer an educational experience on a variety of subjects ranging from healthy eating, parenting skills, physical wellness, relapse prevention, and conflict resolution.

This transitional living program is exclusively for mothers receiving benefits from CalWorks. For more information on this program please contact Tammy at 916-410-6112.
